VW TankWars is a site that challenges VW TDI drivers to produce a world record mileage score.

While the main part of VW’s TankWars site is powered by WordPress, the most interesting aspect of the site is its use of BuddyPress. Each driver’s profile (see the site’s “Leaderboard” on the right) contains their best milage score and rankings. Users can upload photos, vote on profiles, and leave comments.
