I chose to include a snow scene in the template to elicit the feeling of winter and a white Christmas. Blue was the obvious color scheme choice for me to add to the feeling of winter. The candy cane-like red and white stripe was added to help separate the header and body content. This also provided a bit of color variation and visual interest below the snow scene in the header of this Christmas email template.
